Before this, he served as CEO of Kopo Kopo, which provides digital payment solutions and offers credit services to over 25,000 businesses in Kenya. Chad co-founded M-Kopa in 2010 enabling over a million households in East Africa to have access to affordable solar power services on credit basis. He has served in various senior positions in the financial sector in the United States, Australia, and South Africa. He serves on the board of several businesses focusing on growth opportunities in Africa.
