Guto is an entrepreneur turned venture capitalist as Operating General Partner at monashees, an early-stage venture capital firm with a sector-agnostic approach fostering growth in Latin America.
In his role at monashees, Guto adopts a "fractional founder" perspective, providing guidance as a board member and advisor to portfolio companies. He also leads the firm's Network Services, a team aimed at nurturing a mutually supportive community of founders and providing specialized operator advisory services.
Before joining monashees, Guto was the co-founder of Elo7, a Brazilian marketplace for handmade and custom-ordered products backed by monashees, Accel, and Insight Partners, which was acquired by Etsy in 2021. Earlier in his career, he held product and general management roles at Yahoo and DivX.
Born and raised in Brazil, Guto lives in Colorado with his wife and younger kids where they enjoy exploring the outdoors, skiing and playing tennis.
He attended Computer Engineering school at UNICAMP, received a degree in Communications from USP, and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management.
