AI is a huge phenomenon globally right now, in terms of both uptake and investments, but in Africa, it remains nascent. Leading global tech firms, startups & universites, are active in the space, however, and some startups are pioneering AI and ML-based solutions to a myriad of problems. This panel discusses whether Africa can use its “late mover” advantage to employ best practices in its early-stage AI industry and how we can go about building an AI economy on the continent.
